As you can see, we don't have a very active forum, and never really have. Mostly users just pop in, ask a question and get an answer, and disappear. But probably 99% of the interaction we have with our users is directly through e-mail support. In some ways this has been better, as most users have been more willing to discuss their experience more openly via private e-mail than in the public forum. But it's also true that it is only us (tech support) that gets that feedback, and not the public. For a small sampling of the feedback, feel free to look at the testimonials page:
http://www.stratasearch.com/testimonials.htmlI would suggest, however, that the experiences of other users will have very little impact on your own ability to use StrataSearch profitably. StrataSearch is a solid program, with a great deal of helpful automation. And while it might be a very powerful tool, it is still just a tool. And as with any tool, it can be used effectively, or not, depending on your abilities as a user.
As a MetaStock user, you are actually in a great position to explore StrataSearch, since the languages of MetaStock and StrataSearch are quite similar. As a suggestion, you might want to enter the Setups > System Settings menu and check the box to "Turn Off Sector Indexes and Formulas". This will create systems in StrataSearch that are much more compatible with MetaStock. With some minor language conversion, you can then port your StrataSearch systems over to MetaStock and see how they compare. If it turns out that your StrataSearch systems outperform the ones you've been using in MetaStock, you'll be able to see the advantage for yourself. (Maybe then you'll come back to this same post and say "Yes, I'm a profitable StrataSearch user!")
Hopefully this input is of some use.
